Desert Crossings ventured to outdoor festival territory when we performed at the Respect Festival in Exeter earlier this month. We were lucky that there was no rain and the full audience in the tent was able to enjoy a great show.
It was a challenge taking the work out of its usual theatre space and into a low tech, daytime outdoor environment but the magic was not lost. The show performed to an entranced crowd, where you could literally hear a pin drop despite of the busy activity and sounds outside the tent. See other pictures from the performance here.
The dancers loved being so close to the audience and truly engaging first hand to a mainly non-dance family audience. More of this please! We thank Dance in Devon for working with us to make these valuable connections in the South West.
