Inter-Mission
Inter-Mission was a series of regional platforms of new choreographic work, created by black choreographers based in a particular region, or who had a special relationship with the region. The aims of the platforms were to showcase and highlight new black choreographic talent, to develop audiences for black dance, and to support professional black dance artists through marketing and showcasing.
The project acted as a potential ‘stepping stone’ for new choreographers to show their work, giving the choreographers an opportunity to showcase their work in a safe and supportive environment, in order to build confidence for the creating and showing of future work.
