Choices & Consequences

Choices & Consequences (a.ka. Co-Mission) is an inclusive residency and performance concept, which explores the moral dilemmas that face us all, and the consequences of making choices and taking chances. The project features choreography by Michael Joseph and an original soundtrack by MD Steve Marshall. To view films click here or on the photos.

A pilot was run in London in 2015, in partnership with The Albany, The Deptford Lounge,  IRIE! Dance Theatre, Greenwich Dance and Moonshot Studios. Through Co-Mission: Choices & Consequences we were able to support the development of a new emerging disabled choreographer, Laura Dajao, and a company of dancers, with and without disabilities, who worked through contemporary, hip-hop and martial arts styles to create an accessible and entertaining performance.

Louise Katerega provided advice and mentoring throughout the nine week residency, and the dancers were Housni Omer, Hannah Meraki, Ash Goosey, Louise Dickson and Laura Dajao. Photo of Laura Dajao and Michael Joseph by Kathryn Brillhart.
